July The garden is growing despite our deadening heat! The TRIPLE bloom Hibiscus is so heavy, it hangs down on the tiny tree from which it grows. No hanging for The Seminole Historical Society. There have been lots of new archive submissions from the board. Official launch date for the virtual museum is September 1, 2009. I have rediscovered a passion for history and must say - This is a FUN project to work on! HOPEFULLY, the website will help The Seminole Historical Society stir some more interest and support in the area's history. I'm excited and looking forward to the release!
June May sure was busy! In the garden and on the web. My flower of the month logo, is not from my garden. I can't seem to pass up a pretty bloom, snapped that shot on a trip to Charlotte, NC - in late May. The SHS meets today for edits - the site should be published soon. More projects in the works - a website that is somewhat of a virtural book. The possibility of a website re-do for a local eatery, more updates on the vacation rental cottage coming soon - stay tuned...
It's May Already!
So much for April showers. It's been so dry! We're under some pretty strict watering restrictions. I've given up on lawn & am now in the drought tolerant mode. Except for a few new flowers that can can do well, with a bit of hand watering. The Cosmos on the top & sidebar of this page are some of my new additions. On the subject of planting seeds - on the web, that is - a new website is popping up! Nearing completion & awaiting a final approval from the board of directors, The Seminole Historical Society. This has been a fun project to work on. Somewhat of an amatuer history buff - it's neat to learn about folks that our streets and buildings were named after. The more I read about our local history, the more I wanted to learn! If you from these parts, take a look at this new site - it's pretty interesting. Official launch is set for mid-month.
A bit of a delay on the "Keys" - I'll be back at it before you can snag a bug!
April Oh! The Spring... Time for new growth! The Pet Rest website is completed, congratulations to Veronica, for her first website & a new business. Web growth continues on The Florida Rental Cottage. The West Central Florida region is complete. As the Florida Rental Cottage is a tourism website, it will constantly evolve with our state's changes. Some new features on The Florida Rental Cottage are - a Florida Favorite survey, for you to send in your Florida favorites and a little something to "play" with, a tropical Florida puzzle - with a new challenge coming each month. The Florida Keys region is next, with favorite dive spots, great places to eat, listen to music and more. As a former resident and lover of the Florida Keys, aka The Rock, I'm looking forward to working on that.
Fall/Winter 2008/2009
March - The Mullen site was published! Pool & Spa Creations is published! The cottage site is still growing, this may be a year long project. There is a new section for "home improvement" type businesses to advertise. A new site is in the works, Pet Rest Custom Urns. One more bit of news - I am now accepting credit cards for my web services.
February - the cottage site is growing by leaps & bounds, from a local listing to a statewide listing. West Central Florida completion set for March. Mullen is picking the right valve & set for launch. Pool & Spa Creation is a project I am working on as a consultant; it's a fine example of a website built by a "newbie" - my brother.
January - Nearing completion of two more websites and more in the works! Stay tuned.
