Choose from five different sizes to display photos, number of images in rows, with or without text. When you click on the small image a larger view will open in a new window. Photos can be framed, with several different choices including a"Polaroid" look or left unframed. FREE six image gallery to USA Armed Forces members! More than three images in a row will force viewers to scroll right to view entire gallery. Better to make this one longer, than wider.

I would NOT suggest this many images or image formats on any ONE webpage - they are here simply as a demo. I prefer the following photo file formats - jpeg, png and gif. When reguesting a slide show or photo gallery, it's best that all images sent are the same exact size. Some very small images under 200 wide or in height are not suitable for slides and gallery formats. More information on photo format can be found on my 101 page.
This photo has been highlighted with a shadow, frame, and reflection effect. This photo will also open another window to a larger image with just a click on it. Go ahead try it.
The Light Box implements a neat way to display pictures on your web site. This works in almost the same way as the standard Photo Gallery seen above. But rather than redirecting you to another page to view an image, when you click an image, it will overlay the current web page, and grey out everything around it. This photo viewer is suggested size two photos wide, as shown. When a viewer clicks on a photo, to see a larger image, they can then mouse over and slide buttons will appear allowing one to go forward or to previous shots. Click & see.

Conveyor Belt Gallery - yep you guessed it - this is an image slideshow which scrolls the images in a "conveyor belt" fashion across the page. Mouse over a photo and it will pause. You can even build in a click link on the photos to another site or page.
Post Card Gallery - A flash image viewer based on the real world metaphor of a set of postcards shuffled onto a surface
Simple Viewer Gallery - displays thumbnails beside a larger image, allowing the viewer to see all thumbnails as well one large view of the selected image.

One last note on images. Text as an image? Yep! In web 101, we discuss browsers and what effect they have on how you view a website page. As the list of "Web Safe" fonts is a pretty short one - how do you get "non - safe" fonts on a website?" The actual text with the 'fancy' font gets converted into an image. Remember, though it looks like text to the human eye, the computer 'reads' it as an image. Too many images and you have a "heavy" slow page." Look at the examples below - what do you see?
